I wake up to my phone blowing up with notifications
"Mmmm turn your phone off haze" Chris mumbles
"alright alight I'm going"
As I go to turn off my phone I realise I'm so late and my mums been texting me
"Shit, shit , shit I need to go" I say rushing out of bed
"Huh why" Chris says curiously as he rubs his eyes
"I promised my mum that I would babysit my little sister this afternoon while she goes to work and she's been texting me she's late for work" i say as I try and gather my things
"Ugh ok let me go wake up Matt so he can drive you there"
"Ok" I reply

As we're rushing into the car chris gets in as well
"What are you doing I know you'd rather be asleep" I ask him
"I'm gonna come with you" Chris says with a little smirk

After we arrive at my house I get out rushing to the door while Chris walks behind me
"HAZEL LOUISE JEFFORDS WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG"
"I'm sorry mum I accident slept in let me make it up to you"
"Hi miss Jeffords " Chris says as he walks up to where we were
"Oh hi uhh which one are you sorry" my mum says and she's she shakes his hand
"It's ok I'm Chris, it's nice to meet you"
"It's nice to meet you too, you young lady can make it up to me by making dinner today" my mum says in a tone as she point her finger at me and walks to her car
"What I'm so bad at cooking this isn't fair, well can Chris  stay with us" I scream out at my mum as she drives out of the driveway and see her give a thumbs up as she drives off

We walk in and see my little sister playing with her barbies
"Sissy I missed you" Hayley says as she runs up to me while giving me a hug. She then crosses her arms in a sassy way "who's him"
"Uhh this is my friend Chris his going to play with us ok"
"Ok"
Chris wraps his hand just above my waist as we walk to the living room and keeps his hand there for the whole hour we play with Hayley

~time skip~

We start preparing dinner and as I'm chopping the vegetables chris hugs me from behind "Matt and nick texted me and they went to the movies with alahna so I guess I'm stuck here with you"
"Huh yea I guess" I turn around so our faces are inches apart "hey Chris I'm really glad we're friends I don't know what I would do without you" as I think he is about to lean in for a kiss we hear "I thought you said he was your friend not boyfriend, his not like mike right sissy"
I move away from Chris's embrace and move towards Hayley to comfort her "no no no his not like mike, listen Hayley mike will never hurt us again ok don't worry about him don't even think about him chris is nothing like him and don't worry he is very nice" I look up and see Chris, I move away and continue cooking dinner as I'm setting the table Chris pulls me into my room

"Hey listen if you ever need to talk to me I'm here ok, do you want to talk about who this mike guy is and why your 4 year old sister is scared of him"
I look at him and give him a concerned look and then nod " ok so my last boyfriend was really.... Not a great boyfriend he would mentally and sometimes physically abuse me amd would threaten Hayley if I told anyone. He constantly tell me that he is the best thing that could ever happen to me and if I ever told anyone I would regret it. But eventually I got sick of him and reported him to the police and that why we had to move to Boston" 
"Oh my gosh haze I had no idea I'm so sorry"
"It's ok" I reply as Chris pulls me into a hug
I start hyperventilating as all the memories start rushing back
"Hey hey hey it's ok I'm here just breathe in and out ok im right here , I'm right here just breathe" he says as he runs my back and places little kisses on my head

We walk out of my room and see Hayley sitting on the table waiting for the food I turn to my right and see mum walk through the door  "hey mum how was work" "ugh same as always anyway what did you decide to poison us with"
"Haha very funny mum but Chris helped me cook so it's not completely poisonous, you staying for dinner chris"
"Yea sure" he reply's as he grabs the pot from the stove and walk over the table with me

"Wow it's actually very nice darling"
My mum says with a mouth full as everyone else agrees
"Hey mum Can I go to Chris's house tomorrow he and his brothers want to film a YouTube video with me"
"Yea sure Im off of work tomorrow" "thanks mum"
After a while my mum brakes the silence "so Chris , are you and my daughter together "
Chris chokes on his food as he is surprised  by the question
I can see him blushing as he speaks
"Uhh no we are not we are just friends"
"Well we'll see about that in the future"

It's been a while after dinner and Chris decided to go home as we walk to the door I see Matt so I run up to the van as my mum and Chris talk
"Hey Bernard"
"Hey hazel did you have fun, did anything happen" he says with a smirk
"No nothing happen ok"
"Ok fine whatever you say, but we both know you wanted something to happen"
"Oh shut up Bernard" I playfully smack him beige walking back to Chris
I walk back up to my house and see Hayley putting her hands up to signal Chris to pick her up "chwis I don't want you to go stay here and play more barbies with me pweaseee"
"Sorry Hayley I have to my mum wants me to come home but I'll come back to tmr maybe ok"
"Ok"
I walk Chris to the van and stop him just before so Matt doesn't hear us
"Hey Chris"
"Yea hazel"
"Can we keep the conversation from before between us I don't really want the others to know just yet"
"Ofcourse haze don't worry about it"
He gives me a peck on the cheek and runs up to Matt and waves me goodbye as they drive off

I go inside and go on my phone until I fall asleep excited for tomorrow
