"i think me and amozi should go back home" zoelle said as they pulled up to his mothers house.
"why?" he laughed.
"what if they're rude?" she asked.
"they not... my mama a little off though"
she sided eyed him.
"the fuck do he mean?" she questioned getting out the car.
he grabbed amozi and walked to the door.
"open it" he nudged her.
" that's rude" she shook her head knocking.
there was a lot of commotion before the door opened.
"hi son" she hugged azriel.
zoelle was close to speaking until his mother walked off.
"i did something?" she asked as azriel shook his head.
his mother was childish sometimes.
he thought she would be coo just for today but apparently she wasn't.
"nah" azriel walked inside.
he sat the car seat down and grabbed amozi out.
"azriel" his little sister ran up smiling.
he had a total of 3 siblings.
two sisters and a brother.
"you had a baby?" she frowned looking at mozi.
"no" zoelle answered.
"so who are you then?" she turned her attention onto zoelle.
"i'm zo, who are you?"
"naila" she smiled.
"you so pretty" zoelle smiled back.
"thank you.. my momma told me i wasn't" she frowned.
"why she say that?" azriel shook his head.
"i don't know her said she only liked you and wished she stopped having kids with you, i didn't understand until nyla explained"
zoelle felt bad for the little girl, she wasn't nothing but 6 and already had a mother who couldn't stand her.
"go play i'll talk to her" azriel kissed her cheek.
"ok, bye bye zo" she waved running off.
"your mother tells everybody that?" zoelle asked.
"knowing her yea" azriel walked into the kitchen.
"she's so pretty" a few of his aunties walked up smiling at zoelle and amozi.
"i'm his aunt nice meeting you" nina held her hand out.
zoelle shook it and smiled glad the rest of his family was nice.
"she met yo mama yet?" nia eyed azriel.
"barely"
"we told her don't get to acting like that, she don't listen" kesha mumbled.
they knew their sister regretted a lot of things in life.
mainly her kids.
but for whatever reason, she was glad she had azriel.
he got everything and more, his siblings got the bare minimum.
even though he got the best treatment he still was the first to move out.
he hated how his mother treated his siblings and he didn't understand why they stayed.
