"WHAT?" Yanli exclaimed once again. Ziyi stiffened and looked at Yubin with wide eyes. Never in the wildest dream Ziyi thought Yibo will be Zhan's crush. Despite the fact that he talked about his crush that day on the trip, Zhan never gave a hunch. So no one thought it was Yibo. More than that, Ziyi knew Yibo had not met Zhan before coming to Shanghai. So how could..?
"P-please elaborate." Yanli pleaded.
"Yes Jie. I believe it was love at first sight. Zhan saw him on a university trip to Wuyuan. That's why we had not even seen Yibo before he came here. Zhan didn't even get a chance to speak with Yibo because unexpectedly Yibo disappeared from there after few hours. Zhan learned from someone in the team that Yibo had received a call and left suddenly because his mother was sick and admitted to the hospital."
"Oh.. I remember. Linwen told me about that. He told me Yibo's father worked for the most well-known and best-rated tour guide in Wuyuan. After his father's death Yibo worked for him while going to the university in his holidays . But after that I heard his son lives abroad, so he and his wife moved from China." Yanli interrupted as she recalled something that Linwen said on that day. (Chapter 22)
"Exactly that's what happened. Zhan and I went to Wuyuan after that but we didn't get any information because that man had resigned and others refused to give us any personal information. Zhan tried to find Yibo but failed. I also didn't take it seriously, after all Zhan only saw Yibo one day and thought Zhan will forget him eventually but the way Zhan tried to find Yibo and refused to date anyone, made me realize how it is important to Zhan. Zhan even went to Wuyuan once a year but never saw him again."
After 3 years Yibo appeared unexpectedly in his home and Yibo even didn't know him, or not even feel familiar, Zhan was at a loss. After all, the one he had been looking for for years was Linwen's nephew. What a fate? He had no idea what to do, how to deal with the situation. But after few days he mistook you and Yibo and things went like this. He couldn't see how close you two, so his behavior changed. He stayed less at home, drowned himself in alcohol and so on. If you could remember Zhan totally changed after your arrival Jie."
"You know how Zhan loves you right? You are his second mother. You suffered a lot after your husband's death. But you were so comfortable around Yibo and always together. So we also thought otherwise." Yubin ended the story with a heavy sigh. He lowered his head in shame, he couldn't look at Yanli's face.
Yanli was astonished. "That is because Yibo is very understanding. He is exactly like his uncle, Linwen. As my best friend Linwen understood me very well. I told about all my worries with Yibo, because I can't tell them to my fam cuz I don't want to see them worry about me. I feel better when I shared them with Yibo and he exactly knows how to comfort others. Now that's not important, how comes I know nothing about Zhan and Yibo?" She cried.
"Wait but first day Zhan saw him he argued with us to send Yibo away. Why is that?" She asked again.
"We also there. But we didn't see Yibo's face clearly that day. He was lowering his head as much as possible and dashed to the room after he realized we were there. So Zhan got angry because you guys are the only ones in the home. What if something happens cuz we can't trust strangers easily. More over, no one told him beforehand. Zhan didn't knew it was Yibo on the very first day." (Chapter 5)
"Forget about Zhan, even Yibo didn't tell me how he feels. You blithering idiots! Why has no one asked or told me anything, and you guys have made up your own absurd assumptions?. I'm very disappointed. Now see both of them suffered for nothing. I saw Zhan was so caring toward Yibo when he was sick but I thought that is because he now treats Yibo like a family member. My two brothers whom I loved the most suffered because of me, and that's for nothing. I'll deal with Yibo later. Now call and asked Zhan to come home right now. He's dead meat." Even Yanli was disappointed and angry, she couldn't control her tears. She knows Zhan love her a lot but not to this extent. She also can do anything for Zhan's happiness.
"Don't be mad at Zhan jie. He is not wrong. Don't you will do the same for him if you found out that Zhan loves the same person you love, and wouldn't back off for his happiness?" Yubin tried to explain.
"Yes I'll do the same but because both of them didn't talk their hearts out and all these things happened. What if Ziyi didn't lie today about Yibo's date? How much longer will these two idiots suffer in vain? I always tell Zhan if there is something talk with me. I also noticed his changing behavior but never thought something like this. Forget about Zhan. He always talk less but Yibo..."
"Yibo wanted to tell you jie. But since you treat him like his own brother, he had no guts to say it loud. Yibo was so guilty and he was afraid that you will treat him differently." Ziyi talked for his friend. Yanli didn't utter any word. After some time, she appears to have calmed down . After that Yubin called Zhan and said he has to say something urgent, it can't explain over the phone and asked Zhan to come home asap. . . . To be continued...
